Because You're Mine

The next volume will be the definitive Because You're mine album which will include some real rarities regarding the 1952 film. There will be items on this album that are not available on any other CD yet released!

I can't say fairer than that. The Life with Luigi and Edgar Bergen volume was also a first on CD in their entirety.
While others talk about Mario Lanza, we provide the music we know you love.

Rosetta Remastering

Just to clarify, Rosetta Remastering is a team effort. Team Rosetta completes all the jobs required for this type of operation to continue such as posting, administration, record keeping etc as their has been considerable interest in both the Broadway album and the on line releases from this blog. There has also been excellent uptake of Rosetta releases on many other forums throughout the internet. As such the administration required is considerable. The remastering and the artwork are also part of the whole team operation.

We respect all other forums and sites  for and about Mario Lanza including those on Facebook. As such I would like to list the best of them below:

http://groups.google.com/group/mariolanza/     An excellent Lanza group for talking and discussing about the great tenor. Knowlegeable hosts and avid fans.

http://www.fanfaire.com/lanza/index.html Great site with many links to Mario's life and legacy.

http://www.rense.com/excursions/lanza/index.htm
Well what can I say....probably the best in content and looks.

Traditonally a Lanza family site originally by Damon Lanza and Bob Dolfi.
Damon now no longer with us so Bob Dolfi continues this excellent site.

Go on to Youtube and search for Mario Lanza - Many items both audio and video.

Mario Lanza Volume 37

This release comprises two complete radio programmes with appearances from Mario Lanza.
Please be aware there are only two items sung....one in each programme. However they are amazing!
Also they have never been heard in this sound before! The talking and banter between Mario and the
hosts are worth a listen too. A real insight to the radio of the late 1940s and a time when Mario was still
on the rise. A glorious era in music and one sorely missed.

NEW VOLUME!

The next volume comprises real collector's material. Mario only sings 2 items as he is a guest on 2 radio shows. Don't despair though I am already looking at the next volume after that crammed full of Lanza material.

The 2 radio shows are 'Life with Luigi' (29th Nov 1949) and 'The Edgar Bergan and Charlie McCarthy Show.' (19th Dec 1948) The sound quality is far superior to any heard previously and both programmes are complete.
Mario sings Mamma Mia ch'e vo sape in 'Luigi' and The Lord's Prayer in the 'Edgar Bergen' show. There is also much banter between Mario and the show hosts so there is more than just the singing selections. Both songs are superb.

Luigi, the character, was played by J. Carrol Naish, who played Mario's father in his first film (That Midnight Kiss) and also Mario's uncle Nicky in his next film, 'The Toast of New Orleans.' The banter between them in this show is good and somewhat familiar forthose that know the films well.

Please enjoy and I shall get back to thew Albert Hall in due course and also the Coke Show material.
Thanks to all for your nice comments.

Links to come.
